Dottie Postove Is 90 Years Old Today

My Mom would have been 90 today. She was born December 1st, 1917. A Sagittarius, like me.

Mom died in 2004, on November 7th.

I think, now, she is in her happiest place. She is 12 and in Suffolk, Virginia spending the summer with her Grandmother.

I wish I was there.

I love you more than mere mortal words can say, Mom.

I'm going to play our song tonight.

For us.

I love you Mom.

Did she have any brothers or sisters?

Did she share with you any outstanding memories as a youth?

1917. Wow.

Hey, Phil.

Mom had one sister, who died this past June at the age of 91.

The best thing that I have ever had in my life was the last, almost 3 years of Mom's life.

We spoke every night at 7. And for that hour she would regale me with stories of growing up Jewish in West Virginia, loving her Grandmother (who was call T'Necha...meaning aunt. She did not want to be called Bubbie, which is Yiddish for Grandmother. T'necha was built like a horse, but she was vain) perhaps more than anyone in her life, and so much more, which repaired our relationship, which was thank God recovered by the time she died.

Gee, I never thought I could miss anyone like that, everyday.

Thanks, Phil
